About

Pocket Verdict started as a group chat where a few of us kept swapping screenshots and complaints about mobile games. Eventually we got tired of losing those notes and turned them into a proper site. Nothing fancy — just people who spend too much time tapping screens on the train.

We pick games the way you probably do: something catches our eye in a store list, a friend mentions it, or a genre we love gets a new release. Then one of us commits to a week or two of real playtime before writing anything down.

We care a lot about the boring practical stuff. How hot does the phone get? Does the game eat 20% battery in half an hour? Can you actually reach the buttons with your thumbs? Those details rarely show up in flashy trailers, so we make them the focus.

We are not tied to any studio or store. If a game annoys us, we say so, and if a small title surprises us, we make room for it.
