We finish or at least deeply play every game before writing. No verdicts from a two-minute trailer.
Every review mentions how the game treats your battery and whether the phone turns into a hand warmer.
Studios can't buy a score from us. Our ratings come from the editors and nobody else.
A fast fishing-cast arcade game about timing your throw and reeling in the perfect catch.
A story-driven RPG where your party's choices reshape the towns you pass through.
A naval strategy game about routing fleets and holding fragile supply lines.
An arcade racer built around long drifts and glowing night tracks.
A moody exploration adventure through a fading village full of small secrets.
A tile-matching puzzle game with a calm greenhouse theme and clever chain mechanics.
Embersworn Oath is the kind of RPG that respects your time even though the story is long. Battles are turn-based but quick, and you can queue up party actions so you're never stuck poking menus for ages. The writing carries it — side characters actually remember things you did three chapters ago. Management of gear and skills happens on a clean grid, and mercifully most of it can be done offline. I did most of my leveling during a train commute without a signal, which is rare for this genre. Battery use is moderate; the animated backgrounds look great but do warm the phone during long sessions. Turning off the ambient particle effects in settings helped a lot without hurting the mood.
Why a simple cast-and-reel arcade game turned into our surprise favorite this month.
A quick tour of the toggles most players ignore and later regret.
Because you're usually holding a coffee, a rail, or a sleeping cat.
A look at what actually drains your phone while you play.

We pick a mix of what's popular and what quietly interests us, across as many genres as we can. Someone on the team commits to real playtime before we write anything. We're not chasing every release, just the ones we can cover honestly.
No. Nobody buys a score or a favorable write-up from us. Our ratings come entirely from the editors after we've actually played, and that's the whole point of the site.
Please do. Drop us an email with the name and why you like it, and it goes onto our list. We read every suggestion, though we can't promise to cover everything since we only write about games we've properly played — like we did with Big Rush Cast.
We keep the site light and don't run intrusive ad networks. If that ever changes we'll say so clearly and keep any ads separate from our actual reviews. Editorial and money never mix here.
